Inverell

26th June

A tree planting ceremony to be held in Guide Park with the Mayor and a morning tea.Starts at 10:30 am.

Tamworth

22nd June

A meeting with the Mayor for the African Community at 5:30 pm at the NSS office, 56 – 59 Dowe Street, Tamworth.

Armidale

22nd June

A morning tea with the Mayor and the local recent arrival refugees to be held at the Armidale-Dumaresq Council Chambers starting at 10:30 am. . 

Maitland

21st May

A morning tea, 3 refugee speakers, dancing and singing and displays of the Greta Migrant Camp and African arts and crafts.  To be held at Rutherford Community Centre from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. 

Newcastle

17th June

An African Training Market Day is planned for James Street Plaza, Hamilton beginning at 11:00 am until     3:00 pm, including arts, crafts, hair braiding & food sales, performances & information & resources about refugees and settlement services.

Central Coast

19th June

A celebration of Refugee Week in partnership with the Green Point Community Centre. There will be a personal experience on being a refugee from a Tibetan settler, a Multicultural lunch and Performances from Iran, Greece and China.  The Gosford Mayor will open the day.  Starts at 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.  

Singleton

25th June

The Singleton Multicultural Women’s group will be celebrating Refugee Week at Singleton library.  It will be a social activity with a guest speaker and a morning tea.  Starting at 10.00 am until 12:30 pm.
